I conducted a phone interview. I had a cashier that we had video evidence of him taking 7 deli meals over a three-week time frame. Prior to training I probably would have shown my “Ace” too soon. Yesterday I used the W-Z method. Long story short, he admitted to taking 104 meals and cigarettes. Instead of getting $45 in restitution we are getting $680.
Just wanted to share that I closed out an investigation last night for just north of $4700 in merchandise theft. As I was headed back from the meeting last week I took a call from a manager about some possible red flag behaviors so of course I was ready to go after being pumped with our meeting’s content. I got a specialized role promotion today from my company and I am now the lead interview and investigator.
